Host/ Hostess
Marlton LLC is a restaurant company seeking a Host/Hostess to enhance the Guest experience. The role involves greeting and facilitating Guests, maintaining a clean and organized host area, and ensuring efficient Guest flow throughout the dining experience.

Responsibilities
Ensure that the foyer and host/hostess area is clean and neat at all times
Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
Greet Guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
When possible, seek out Guests personally when their table is ready rather than making an announcement
Accompany Guests to their tables and let them know who their server will be
Inform Guests about new menu items/specials, entertainment and area events
Communicate with staff to ensure seating of Guests occurs as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular server
Answer the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Always remember the person on the other end is a potential Guest
Respond appropriately to Guest complaints; bring any issues to managers attention
Accompany Guests who are there for a party to the appropriate party area
Carefully pack all to-go orders
Perform cashier functions for take-out orders, merchandise, and to-go beer sales
Card Guests who appear under age 30 when purchasing packed goods or cigarettes
Stock all retail items and take inventory as needed
Assist with planning parties or special events as needed
Perform marketing and other promotional services as needed
Clean, clear and set tables as needed
Complete beginning, change and end of shift side duties
Keep restrooms clean and stocked at all times
Keep the Host/Hostess Stand clean and organized at all times
Thank all Guests for coming as they leave the restaurant
Attend all scheduled employee meetings
Additional tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet Guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the Guests' overall dining experience
Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management. They must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training
Must adapt to different personalities of Guests and coworkers without losing focus
Working together as a team is a critical success factor of any restaurant. Establishing good working relationships is key to maintaining a team-oriented work environment
Must understand all Chickie's & Pete's products and services as well as have the ability to understand Guest's needs clearly
Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure
General accounting and mathematical skills required along with point of sale application knowledge. Must use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome to problems
Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided to the Guests
Must be able to speak and write effectively in English
Occasionally works overtime and assists with the workload of others if needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
