Legal Assistant
TTE Law Group, LLP is a boutique litigation firm with offices in Portland, Oregon, Los Angeles, California, and New York. They are seeking a Legal Assistant to provide administrative and secretarial support to attorneys and the Director of Operations, promoting organizational efficiency and communication within the firm.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Proofread all work to ensure accuracy of copy, grammar and punctuation
Maintain attorneys’ calendars, noting appointments, trials, hearings and other critical dates by tracking incoming e-mails/correspondence and maintaining the calendar without supervision
Client relations – assist attorneys by directly handling routine questions and matters with clients
Set up meetings, depositions, and/or conference calls with counsel, witnesses, etc. and schedule conference rooms
Updating case sheets and templates
Knowledge of court rules, confirm motions, keep updated lists of court filing fees. Requires knowledge and orientation of resources pertaining to multiple jurisdictions within Oregon, Washington and Federal Courts
Prepare, format and edit pleadings and correspondence
Service and filing of court documents
Assist in making travel arrangements
Overall case file organization and management, and trial preparation and assistance. Making sure to add incoming documents served by email to the appropriate files through the course of the case
Assist Partner and Associates with creating court copies, binders for trial, and prepping them for upcoming trials by keeping on top of trial deadlines
Electronic calendar and direct/in-person reminders for critical events and deadlines
Assist Director with billing activities, time entry, etc
Qualification
