Atlantic Group is hiring an Assistant Controller (Fund Accounting) with our client in New York, NY (Hybrid). The role involves overseeing fund accounting operations, managing the fund administrator, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with LPA requirements.

Responsibilities

Fund Administrator Oversight: Manage the relationship and workflows with the third-party fund administrator to ensure timely, accurate deliverables
Financial Reporting: Review fund financial statements, documentation, and records for investor reporting, audits, and tax filings
Capital Activity & Fees: Approve capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, management fees, and expense calculations per LPAs
Investor Communications: Coordinate quarterly and ad-hoc reporting, including annual reports, K-1s, and tax forms
Valuation & Analysis: Review portfolio company data for quarterly valuations and build analytics/forecasting models for stakeholders
Operations & IR Support: Enhance policies, procedures, and technology platforms while supporting investor relations and fundraising efforts

Qualification

Private equity fund experienceAdvanced Microsoft ExcelFund audits experienceCPA certificationFinancial modelingValuation methodologiesAnalytical skillsOrganizational skillsProject management skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
5+ years in public and/or private accounting with private equity investment funds, including experience in fund audits, tax filings, and investor reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience in financial modeling, waterfall calculations, and management fee structures
Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, LPAs, investor capital flows, and valuation methodologies
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
