Laser Scan Surveyor
360 Matrix, LLC is a technology company specializing in reality capture and data analysis services. As a Laser Scan Surveyor, you will perform on-site laser scanning and data capture for various commercial and industrial projects across the US, ensuring high-quality results and effective communication with project teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct 3D laser scanning with TLS or mobile mapping equipment in accordance with project requirements
Perform supplementary data collection when required (MEP, Matterport, Field Notes)
Coordinate scheduling and availability with the 360 Matrix project team
Communicate effectively with drafting/modeling teams to ensure project deliverables are met
Follow established project submission and data transfer standards
Manage personal workload to meet project timelines and quality expectations
Safely transport, set up, and operate scanning and survey equipment
Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on workflows, equipment, and software
Represent 360 Matrix professionally on job sites and with clients
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Engineering, Surveying, CAD, or a related field OR At least 2 years of surveying, or field data collection experience OR Military Vet
General understanding of building construction processes and project stakeholders
Ability to recognize architectural components and MEP/FP systems
Experience handling laser scanning (will train)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and situational awareness
Willingness to follow company standards and learn evolving workflows and technologies
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must hold a valid driver's license
Ability to travel Monday through Friday, including overnight stays as projects require
Must be able travel overnight 4-5 days per project
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, and working on a computer
Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Site work may involve exposure to outdoor elements, climbing ladders, walking rooftops, and using stairs while carrying equipment
