They are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, testing, servicing, inspection, and repair, as well as troubleshooting and preparing service tickets and reports.

Responsibilities

Program and commission newly installed fire alarm systems
Layout, assemble and install, low voltage equipment for fire alarm systems, ensuring work complies with relevant codes and regulations
Test all features and equipment to ensure optimum functioning
Perform inspections and diagnose any problems
Read, understand, and follow product manuals and educate customers on care and maintenance of systems
Write and submit customer status and completion reports
Oversee and direct helpers and/or installers

Fire alarm systemsElectrical constructionNEC knowledgeNFPA 72 knowledgeNotifier experienceBasic computer skillsCustomer communication

Required

Associate or technical degree
5+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience
Experience in electrical construction including wiring and conduit installation
Knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code)
Knowledge of NFPA 72
Basic computer skills
Experience working with laptop and/or iPad

Preferred

Experience with Notifier
NICET I or II
