Responsibilities
Oversee day to day accounting operation across all business units
Manage accountants working within the business units. Review their work ensuring consistancy, accuracy, and timelines
Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting across all business units
Review and approve general ledger activity, reconcilliations and fnancial statements
Ensure proper cost accounting and job costing practices
Coordinate financial reporting between operating companies and corporate leadership
Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across multiple entities
Mantain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrety
Serve as key Quickbooks power user as well as lead the company through a transition to Oracle Net Suite in year 2026. Be the subject matter expert in both accounting programs
Complete internal audits, tax preperation and investor reporting
Partner with operations, construction leadership and executive team
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience in commercial real estate and construction firms
Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise and Net Suite programs
Very strong knowledge of GAAP finance reporting and internal controls
Demonstrated experience with intercompany reconciliation and job costing
Prior experience managing and mentoring accounting staff
Experience working across multiple business units is a must
Strong attention to detail and ability to be a part of the executive management team and take responsibility for decisions made
Preferred
Masters degree is highly coveted
A deep knowledge of multi LLC development with underwriting analytical experience is a plus
