As a CNC Setup Specialist, you will set up and run CNC mills or lathes to produce aerospace-grade components, ensuring they meet exact specifications while collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

Set up and run CNC mills or lathes to produce aerospace‑grade components that meet exacting specs
Work on 3‑ to 5‑axis DMG Mori mills (Siemens 840D) or multi‑axis lathes featuring live tooling, sub‑spindles, and C/Y axis capability
Interpret G‑code or conversational programs, align fixtures and tooling, and verify dimensions with confidence
Conduct first‑piece inspections and uphold 5S and safety every shift
Partner with Engineering and Quality to lock in consistency and precision

Qualification

CNC machining experienceBlueprint readingGD&TSiemens 840DMulti-axis machiningPrecision measurementExperience in manufacturingNIMS certificationLean Six Sigma Yellow BeltCommunication skills

Required

3+ years of CNC machining experience with mill or lathe setups
Fluent in blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement
Proven ability to hold ±0.0002"–0.0005" tolerances
Familiarity with Siemens, Fanuc, or OSP controls is a plus
High school diploma or GED

Preferred

5-axis or multi-axis exposure (DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, Makino)
Background in AS9100 or aerospace environments
Experience with high-temperature alloys (Inconel, Monel)
NIMS or GD&T certifications, or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt+
