CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Financial Analyst to participate in general accounting and financial reporting services. The role involves month-end close, reconciliation, and assisting with audit preparations and tax reporting.

Responsibilities

Participates in general accounting and financial reporting services of the Region and its affiliates
Month End close and reconciliation
Assists with completion of all required work papers for annual audit
May assist is the preparation of tax and government reporting

Qualification

Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesCPAFinancial statement preparationElectronic spreadsheet (Excel)Analytical skillsTax reporting experienceProblem solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or four years of experience in accounting will substitute for degree
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of electronic data processing systems
Proficiency in electronic spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing programs
Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Proactive, articulate, effective and positive communications skills are required
At least four years accounting, including: Financial statement (along with financial indicators) preparation; GL Month End processes; account variance analysis, audit preparation; joint ventures, partnership and consolidation accounting; tax reporting experience; reimbursement exposure/experience helpful; experience in financial management of physician practices helpful

Preferred

CPA and/or MBA preferred
Five years experience in an acute health care setting preferred
