Cass Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Analyst to join their Information Services team. The role involves coordinating and maintaining clinical information systems, implementing workflows, and providing support and training to staff within an acute and ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

Formulates educational programs and plans for staff based on needs assessment, coordinates, and teaches

Selects and utilizes effective instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, demonstrations, lectures, and computer-based training

Develops clinical system training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation process, visual aids, and other educational materials

Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning the use of clinical systems

Provides education to all end users when new and/or updated software is introduced

Meets with end user groups monthly to resolve concerns

Coordinates with Parallon and third-party vendors to assure the successful implementation of modules

Coordinates updates with end users

Coordinates go-live dates, meeting the needs of end users

Develops a cross-functional team to oversee the implementation of Meditech modules, monitors constituents to ensure representation of all concerned areas

Participate on the team to define current and future workflow, data flow, and management

Confers with team to identify needs, challenges, and barriers to successful implementation and use of software

Creates, monitors, and maintains end-user clinical accounts

Develops a format for file building, ensuring satisfaction of all departments

Modifies the system to ensure optimal flow of information

Ensures access to clinical information by the end user

Analyzes new and existing hardware and software for any HIPAA-related security concerns, no less than annually

Communicates with other departments to analyze reports and resolve clinical system issues within one business day, if resources are available

Communicates with management personnel to appropriately incorporate training programs relating to the EHR

Recognizes trends in the field and effectively prepares for changes, proactively, by reviewing vendor-supplied information

Establishes appropriate priorities, ensuring availability by training concerns and acting on those beneficial to the working environment first

Reports unresolved concerns to the manager daily or weekly

Develops and implements policies and procedures related to clinical systems

Develops and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of clinical systems

Adequately budgets for capital spending

Appropriately maintains expenses within budget or provides detailed explanations for variances that should take volume into consideration
