Responsibilities

Create and maintain program management and technical documentation for AI platforms, models, APIs, workflows, and infrastructure components
Develop policies, procedures/SOPs, user guides, system manuals, and onboarding materials for GenAI and Agentic AI tools
Write clear and concise content that supports training, change management, and governance efforts
Work closely with program manager, AI/ML architects, AI/ML engineers, developers, and program stakeholders to gather source material and clarify requirements
Participate in product demos, sprint reviews, and technical discussions to stay informed of system updates and changes
Translate technical jargon into plain language for non-technical audiences while preserving accuracy
Ensure documentation adheres to federal standards for accessibility (Section 508), security, and compliance
Maintain version control and documentation repositories using tools like Confluence, SharePoint, or Git
Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, formatting, and consistency across deliverables
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, FAQs, and quick-reference materials to support AI literacy and responsible use
Assist in the development of communication materials that explain AI capabilities, risks, and governance policies
Support reporting and strategic communications as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a related field
6 years of experience in technical writing or documentation roles, preferably in technology or government environments
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
Experience with diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio)
Experience documenting AI/ML systems, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
Familiarity with GenAI platforms and Agentic AI concepts
Proficiency with documentation tools

Preferred

Experience in public sector or regulated environments
Knowledge of federal documentation standards and accessibility requirements
