Responsibilities
Designing and deploying infrastructure to support performance testing of Java releases
Identifying and resolving performance regressions and deficiencies in the Java runtime and libraries
Working with Oracle's product development, quality, and sustaining engineering teams, external partners, and the OpenJDK community
Improving and modernizing an important Java EE application used to track the performance of Oracle's Java SE product releases
Driving a complex performance measurement system that helps identify regressions and validate performance optimizations
Creating and delivering new Java language features and runtimes
Collaborating with colleagues, presenting findings, and working effectively with various engineering teams to positively influence Java performance
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background
3+ years experience in DevOps
Knowledge of shell scripting languages/Ansible/Database administration/React
Java programming experience
Preferred
Familiarity with continuous integration systems i.e. Jenkins
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc
Experience in working with and managing the cloud infrastructure
Experience in working in distributed teams
Experience in statistics and performance analysis

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
