Responsibilities
Evaluating and assessing damage to building systems and structures resulting from disasters such as storms, fires, and other hazards
Performing on-site inspections
Preparing detailed reports
Analyzing system failures
Recommending repair or reconstruction strategies
Collaboration with engineers, contractors, and property owners to ensure accurate assessments and cost-effective restoration solutions
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing damage and determining appropriate recommendations
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and climate control systems
Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and building codes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to produce detailed reports and collaborate with stakeholders
Ability to work on-site and adapt to challenging post-disaster environments
Proficiency in using relevant tools, software, and technology for inspections and reporting
Preferred
Previous experience in loss assessment, commissioning, or related fields is an advantage
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
