Responsibilities
Perform all facets of the accounting function for clients from initiation to financial statement preparation and reporting
Must have a good grasp of accounting principles, standards and reporting, including familiarity with all bases of accounting. Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) knowledge is preferred
Knowledge of payroll items and platforms for input and review for submission for payroll processing, general understanding of fringe benefits and impact on shareholders and employees
Good working knowledge of federal and state income tax returns for C and S corporations and partnerships, ability to identify issues and research with assistance
Opportunities for growth and taking on more complexity is inherent in the job
Qualification
Required
3 to 6 years of accounting and tax experience in a CPA Firm
Good grasp of accounting principles, standards and reporting
Knowledge of payroll items and platforms for input and review for submission for payroll processing
Good working knowledge of federal and state income tax returns for C and S corporations and partnerships
Proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks desktop and online
Proficiency in web-based applications and remote access to company server/cloud solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detailed oriented, with a focus on quality
Master's degree
3 years of accounting experience
3 years of corporate tax experience
3 years of QuickBooks experience
Ability to commute to Lisle, IL 60532
Preferred
CPA or similar designation
GAAP knowledge
Ability to relocate before starting work
