1+ years expMain Line Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital. The role involves cleaning and maintaining various areas of the hospital, providing customer service, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Health Care
Responsibilities
Clean and supply patient rooms, removal of soiled linen units, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives
Floor care: dry and wet mop floors, buff floors with buffing machine, burnish floors with burnishing machine
Refuse removal: collect and transport trash, remove soiled linen and red waste (according to Main Line Health standards)
Facility cleaning: wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells and perform any other assigned project as needed
Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors and co-workers
Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report any machine malfunctions
Observe and report need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc
Qualification
Required
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Preferred
Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of housekeeping experience
Previous experience using battery operated floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers
Minimum of a High School/GED
Mechanical aptitude
