Responsibilities
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud architecture, and managing cloud infrastructure
Design and operate distributed systems on GCP, including services that communicate with physical devices (IoT-style patterns)
Build and manage isolated environments (dev/test/stage/prod) with strong operational hygiene
Implement SRE best practices: define SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, alerting, and incident response
Embed security into infrastructure: IAM, network policy, encryption, secrets management, and compliance-minded practices
Own CI/CD systems and release pipelines (build/test/security scan/deploy)
Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker + Kubernetes (GKE)
Build monitoring/observability: dashboards, logging, tracing, on-call readiness, and rapid debugging
Drive cost-performance improvements without sacrificing reliability
Maintain infrastructure-as-code with clean version control and collaborative workflows

3+ years of hands-on GCP experience operating production infrastructure for distributed systems
Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker in real production environments
Experience implementing SRE practices (SLO/SLI, alerting strategy, incident response, postmortems)
Solid understanding of cloud networking and security: VPC, IAM, firewall rules, service accounts, encryption
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
Comfortable with at least one backend language: Python / Go / Java
High ownership, strong debugging instincts, and ability to collaborate across functions
Preferred
Experience with hardware-connected or IoT systems (device auth, telemetry, OTA patterns, unreliable networks)
Experience handling sensitive user data and privacy/security best practices
Experience with monitoring stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch)
Familiarity with React / React Native environments and mobile release constraints
Game backend experience or building systems that handle real-time user behavior at scale
