L3Harris Technologies is the Trusted Disruptor in the defense industry. The Specialist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for the life-cycle support of protected SATCOM data link systems, including proposal support, requirements analysis, design oversight, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Working with RF lab test equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers and power meters

Modem testing/design

Use of network analysis tools such as IXIA and Wireshark

Designing, building, testing and optimizing complex electrical systems

Provides systems engineering expertise in a broad field of engineering, research, evaluation and development for highly complex and technical SATCOM, airborne and ground products

Assists in the planning and conducting of technical projects or portions of projects

Assists in the capture and/or management of customer and derived requirements, decomposition and assignment of requirements to appropriate functional areas of responsibility, insuring traceability from a verification test matrix back to original customer and system level derived requirements

Provides support to lead engineers in developing technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, configuration analysis and processing solutions, and test conformance to specifications

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

This person must be willing to travel 4-6 times a year and sometimes over a weekend
