Vice President Information Technology
Lhasa OMS is the leading U.S. supplier of acupuncture products and holistic wellness supplies. They are seeking a hands-on VP or Director of IT to lead the company's technology infrastructure, ERP environment, ecommerce, and warehouse operations to drive operational efficiency and superior customer experience.
Responsibilities
Own the NetSuite ERP environment, including system configuration, data integrity, user roles, integrations, reporting, and continuous optimization
Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Merchandising/Supply Chain to streamline workflows, automate processes, and strengthen cross-department visibility
Lead integration between NetSuite and third-party systems (ecommerce, CRM, logistics, marketing automation, and BI platforms)
Drive warehouse operations toward a fully integrated, technology-enabled fulfillment environment, using automation, scanning, barcoding, and real-time NetSuite integration to improve throughput, accuracy, and scalability
Own end-to-end warehouse operations, including layout, pick/pack/ship workflows, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and IT to streamline fulfillment, reduce cycle times, and improve service levels
Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of warehouse systems, including WMS functionality, scanning and automation tools, slotting strategies, and integrations with ERP, ecommerce, and carrier platforms
Oversee Magento-based ecommerce site(s), ensuring uptime, performance, and security
Manage integrations across user experience enhancements (loyalty program, UX plugins), payment processing, shipping, inventory, and customer data systems
Support Marketing and Creative teams in executing site updates, campaigns, and testing initiatives that improve conversion and engagement
Develop and execute a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business and growth objectives
Manage internal IT staff and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and on-time solutions
Provide architectural oversight and vendor management for all major technology projects
Lead cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance efforts
Build and mature the company’s Business Intelligence (BI) capability, leveraging NetSuite, ecommerce, sales, and customer data
Help to develop dashboards that deliver actionable insight into: Customer behavior and segmentation (e.g., lifetime value, recency/frequency, retention trends), Inventory management (turnover, aging, purchasing efficiency, SKU performance), Product-level forecasting (demand prediction, margin analysis, stock optimization), Sales and marketing performance (channel ROI, campaign attribution, growth opportunities)
Partner with Finance and department leaders to institutionalize data-driven decision making across the organization
Maintain robust backup, recovery, and business continuity systems
Oversee all network, hardware, and endpoint systems, including outsourced IT providers
Deliver executive dashboards and management reports that translate technical data into strategic insights for leadership
Qualification
Required
Strong programming background with demonstrated ability to work hands-on in codebases, databases, and system configurations
Proven project management capability, including requirements definition, prioritization, timeline management, cross-functional coordination, and on-time delivery of complex technical initiatives
High rigor in UAT, test case development, regression testing, deployment validation, and rollback planning
Advanced NetSuite ERP administration experience, including configuration, customization, integrations, and data management
Experience with Magento (Adobe Commerce) or comparable enterprise ecommerce platforms
Proficiency with integration and data tools, including Celigo, REST and SOAP APIs, ETL frameworks, BI platforms, and data warehousing concepts
Solid understanding of data privacy, PCI compliance, and information security best practices
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
10+ years leading IT or technology functions in ecommerce or distribution environments
Proven success implementing, managing, and optimizing NetSuite ERP
Demonstrated experience integrating ERP, ecommerce, and marketing ecosystems
Strong understanding of data architecture, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure
Prior leadership of both internal teams and outsourced technology partners
Strategic thinker who connects technology execution with business outcomes
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management discipline
Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
Hands-on leader committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement
