Information Technology Security Engineer

The Information Technology Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining technical security controls to protect enterprise and client environments, while collaborating with various teams to improve the organization's security posture.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain security controls across endpoint, network, cloud, and hybrid environments
Deploy, configure, and manage security technologies such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, email security, cloud security, and identity solutions
Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents in collaboration with SOC and incident response teams
Harden systems and environments by implementing secure configuration standards and baseline controls
Support vulnerability management and remediation efforts across infrastructure and applications
Assist with identity and access management controls, including MFA, conditional access, and privileged access
Collaborate with IT and cloud teams to securely integrate systems, applications, and services
Support risk assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO
Document security architectures, configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance detection, prevention, and response capabilities
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in information security and security engineering within enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, firewalls, cloud security, and identity platforms
Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud technologies
Experience implementing and maintaining security controls across Windows, Linux, cloud, and SaaS environments
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve security issues
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF/RMF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, Azure/AWS Security certifications, or similar
