Responsibilities

Direct and oversee enterprise-wide data governance strategy, including establishment of data quality metrics, validation rules, and data standards
Lead master file management and data integrity programs across item masters, vendor files, and related databases
Develop and maintain comprehensive data quality frameworks and monitoring systems
Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for data validation, particularly in EDI/XML transfers and automated data exchanges
Create and oversee protocols for exception handling in automated data exchanges
Drive the development of governance frameworks for price and contract loading accuracy
Identify and assess opportunities for AI/ML implementation across supply chain operations, including:
Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate and implement identified AI/ML opportunities
Lead the strategic roadmap for HCA’s SMART MMIS enhancement and optimization
Partner with executive leadership to align data governance initiatives with organizational objectives
Oversee the integration and data synchronization between item master, chargemaster, and revenue cycle systems
Ensure compliance with data governance policies across all integrated systems
Collaborate with Clinical Informatics, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, and Analytics teams to optimize data flow and integrity
Maintain strategic partnerships with warehouse/facility operations, procure-to-pay, GPO standardization, and sourcing departments
Lead implementation of supply chain systems for new facilities, including development of data migration standards and automated validation processes
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of EDI and data transfer protocols for:
Optimize automated processes for invoicing, ordering, and vendor management
Develop and maintain documentation for technical processes and governance frameworks
Ensure compliance with all internal control and legal policies
Build and lead high-performing teams across data governance and internal control functions
Develop training programs and materials for system users across the organization
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Mentor team members in both technical and leadership skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain or similar field - Required
12+ years of supply chain experience in a progressive and integrated material management environment - Required
Demonstrated experience in healthcare supply chain operations - Required
Strong understanding of data governance principles and master data management
Experience with EDI and automated data exchange processes
Excellence in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management

Preferred

Master's degree in related field - Preferred
Experience with AI/ML implementation in business operations - Preferred
Background in data architecture or data science
Healthcare chargemaster management experience
Certification in data governance or supply chain management
Experience with large-scale system implementations or transformations
