Responsibilities
Assist with the development of valuation framework reviews, monitoring of market relevant indicators to assist in calibrating pricing parameters
Apply fair value concept to comply with Financial Accounting Standards Board guidance on Fair Value Hierarchy disclosure
Enhance existing control framework including reviewing independent pricing processes, assessing potential coverage developments and implementing new tools to enhance control efficiency
Act in a challenge capacity to ensure proper vetting of price valuation takes place
Partner with various functional groups on valuation related issues and develop/implement appropriate measures with the goal of ensuring fair value
Partner with stakeholders on valuation related initiatives, regulatory exams and internal and external audit inquiries
Assist with management reporting of valuation results or other similar responsibilities
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in fixed income valuation related to but not limited to mortgage and securitized products
Attention to detail while also be able to communicate to senior stakeholders in succinct/clear fashion
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to perform within a high pressure and time-sensitive environment
Capacity to understand complex concepts and effectively challenge peers in other groups across the organization
Preferred
Undergraduate degree with finance, accounting, and economics major preferred
Knowledge of programming (e.g. Python), analytics platform (e.g., Alteryx) and data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau) a plus
