Director of Sales and Catering
Black Family Hospitality (BFH) is a family-owned Texas institution known for its authentic barbecue and expanding culinary offerings. The Director of Sales and Catering is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies across all BFH concepts, overseeing sales managers, and driving revenue growth through catering and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a companywide sales strategy across all BFH concepts
Establish sales goals, forecasts, and KPIs by concept and market
Identify and pursue new revenue streams, enterprise partnerships, and off-premise opportunities
Ensure pricing and sales initiatives align with brand standards and profitability targets
Directly manage and coach Sales Managers across multiple concepts
Build and maintain standardized sales systems, tools, and playbooks with concept-level flexibility
Set clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and development plans
Lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales leadership and teams
Partner with Operations to ensure sales commitments are operationally sound and executable
Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation, campaigns, and brand-aligned initiatives
Work with Finance to support forecasting accuracy, margin optimization, and ROI tracking
Support new restaurant openings and new concept launches with pre-opening sales strategies
Serve as a senior sales ambassador for Black Family Hospitality
Personally manage key accounts and high-impact enterprise sales opportunities
Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, planners, and community partners
Ensure consistent brand representation across all sales touchpoints
Qualification
Required
8+ years of sales leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or events
Proven success leading sales teams across multiple locations or brands
Strong understanding of catering, events, private dining, and off-premise sales
Experience building and scaling sales systems in a growth environment
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Ability to work from Austin with regular travel to BFH locations
