Responsibilities
Focus on the technical review of individual (including HNWI) tax returns with strong knowledge of trust and estate returns; experience with corporate and partnership tax returns is a plus. Supervise the preparation of tax returns
Develop strong client relationships and maintain steady contact with assigned clients throughout the business year
Monitor the progress of work in relation to budgeted time and scheduled completion dates
Keep the Partner informed on a timely basis regarding important engagement developments, including major issues that arise, conclusions, and recommendations
Work directly with the client’s attorneys, taxing agents, and other third parties. Assist/participate in practice development and firm management
Network to develop contacts and cultivate relationships
Develop and evaluate staff, addressing performance issues and concerns as needed
Mentor and motivate staff; guide staff on career and professional development
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting
A CPA or EA certification is required
Strong communication (both oral and written) skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Preferred
Experience with corporate and partnership tax returns
