Responsibilities
Safely transporting residents to and from their medical appointments, treatments, and activities
Picking up and delivering important materials, supplies, medication, and blood samples
Pilot a variety of automotive equipment, including single-chassis trucks and vans, passenger vans, and buses
Assist with maintenance tasks, such as snow removal during inclement weather
Conducting safety checks on vehicles and equipment
Handling minor repairs and preventive maintenance
Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and the efficient functioning of the facility
Qualification
Required
Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license
This position requires a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Passenger endorsement (P) in order to meet operational needs
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
