EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM MANAGER

Responsibilities
As the Cables Chief, incumbent provides advice and counsel for all issues pertaining to planning, evaluating, managing and executing of the Cables Branch missions and goals
Supervises, coordinates and prioritizes the work of a cross-functional team consisting of joint-service military officers/enlisted, and government civilians and exercises responsibility for day-to-day support to Secretary of War and immediate office
Conducts watch operations, serving as the SecWar's Senior Executive Support Officer (ESO) on day, swing, and night shifts as required, sometimes on short notice
Develops, executes, and monitors funding requirements for systems supporting Cables watch floor operations at local and remote sites
Serves as a DoD Subject-Matter Expert (SME) on all communications equipment and command and control systems used to support the SecWar, DepSecWar and their Immediate Offices

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959)
Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service
Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance
This is a drug testing designated position
Incumbent is required to provide a full and complete disclosure of financial interest in accordance with SF 450
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-14) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required
Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or higher grade in Federal Service
Specialized experience is defined as: Providing technical management, operation, and support of enterprise voice, video and data systems OR providing technical support and services to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-15 grade level
