Cyber Partner Integration Planner

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service is seeking a Cyber Partner Integration Planner. This role is focused on advancing and coordinating collaboration among partners to integrate cyber planning and operations that support the security and operation of Federal facilities.

Responsibilities

Serving as a liaison with internal and external partners involved in cyber planning and operations by coordinating meetings, sharing information, and maintaining working relationships related to systems supporting Federal facilities
Coordinating and integrating cyber planning and operational activities across organizations by aligning courses of action and supporting cybersecurity assessments, technical countermeasure efforts, and related operational requirements
Developing cyber-related plans, policies, procedures, and guidance by drafting documentation and incorporating input from internal and external stakeholders
Participating in cyber planning teams, coordination groups, and task forces by providing subject matter input, responding to requests for information, and supporting cyber engagement activities
Monitoring and evaluating cyber program activities by reviewing operational information, assessing progress toward objectives, and providing updates or recommendations to leadership

You must successfully pass a background investigation. This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs

This is a non-bargaining unit position
Permanent Change of Duty Station (PCS) Expenses will not be paid
Pre-Employment Drug Testing: This position requires a negative pre-employment drug test prior to appointment into this position
Random Drug Testing: The incumbent of this position is subject to random drug testing
Essential Personnel: This position may be designated as essential personnel. Essential personnel must serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of unscheduled leave or government closures due to weather, protests, acts of terrorism, or lack of funding
Travel: The incumbent of this position will be required to travel less than 15% of the time
Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: 1. Coordinating cyber-related planning or operational activities with internal organizations or external partners to support cybersecurity or facility-related missions; and 2. Developing cyber-related plans, policies, procedures, or strategies using established planning processes; and 3. Applying cybersecurity concepts, principles, or risk management frameworks to support cyber operations, assessments, or initiatives; and 4. Evaluating the effectiveness or outcomes of cyber programs or initiatives to determine whether objectives are being met

Preferred

Certifications addressing security and risk management, asset security, security engineering, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security may be beneficial to enhancing the performance of the position's duties
