Responsibilities

Developing bid proposals that comply with established standards and specifications for various construction projects

Conducting thorough reviews of project plans and associated data

Preparing detailed cost estimates and special provisions tailored to each project

Conducting meticulous plan checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all submitted documents

Preparing necessary documentation for submission to the Central Office

Engaging in discussions regarding proposals with Central Office representatives

Participating in pre-bid conferences as required

Required

One year as a Highway Draftsman- Designer (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)

One year of professional experience in highway design work including six months involved CADD operation, and a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field

Three years of professional experience in highway design work including six months of CADD operation, and an Associate's Degree in civil engineering, drafting, or design technology

Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions
