Engineering Supervisor

Town and Country Resort is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to ensure the property’s physical infrastructure operates at peak performance. The role involves supervising the engineering team, managing mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshooting equipment while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day activities of the engineering team, including preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and equipment diagnostics
Manage mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across guest rooms, public spaces, F&B outlets, meeting halls, and support areas
Troubleshoot and repair large equipment such as commercial kitchen systems, laundry centers, HVAC units, chillers, generators, and boilers
Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with resort standards and applicable codes
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., F&B, Banquets, Housekeeping, Events) to support operations, event setups, and guest requests
Assist in scheduling, training, and evaluating engineering staff; maintain staffing and shift coverage for preventative and emergency tasks
Maintain accurate documentation: maintenance logs, equipment histories, work orders, and regulatory inspections
Plan and execute repair and replacement projects according to budgets and timelines; assist with vendor procurement and contractor oversight
Respond to evening or weekend emergencies as required and provide technical guidance during critical situations

Required

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in hotel/resort engineering or facilities management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in large-scale commercial/resort environments
Proven ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment (e.g., laundry systems, kitchen equipment, chillers, boilers)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and direct staff in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work varied shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand, walk and move throughout the property for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders, and reaching to inspect or repair systems and equipment
Must be able to lift, push, carry or maneuver up to 50 lbs, including tools, equipment parts, and service materials
Comfortable working in varied environments — mechanical rooms, outdoor plant rooms, kitchens, event spaces, guest‐areas — sometimes in high noise or heat conditions
Able to respond to emergency calls, climb into ceilings, crawl into confined spaces, and perform rigorous physical tasks when required

Preferred

Vocational training, technical certifications, or licensing in relevant trade areas preferred
