Engineering Project Manager - Electrical & Electronics

Responsibilities

Work across multiple domains (software, hardware, systems, system test, manufacturing, and project management) to deliver an Electronic Drive Unit with Software & Calibrations
Create ECS/Software release plan overviewing systems & customer milestones
Breakdown work scope for implementation in releases, assign to leads and engineers (20+ engineers)
Manage work division for development teams (internal as well as third party)
Lead daily meetings & closely follow-up implementation
Lead Change Control Board with stakeholders in determining work scope
Assign, follow-up and close issues for the program
Create summaries routinely to report progress to customer, review and negotiate implementation scope
Monitor overall project progress including extended remote development teams, third party deliverables, and track open items
Develop, maintain and execute the product development plan, Create accuracy and clarity in Project planning, measure and report critical metrics on execution
Simplify complexity, create summaries with metrics for regular reporting of project status to management team
Support Projects from Program initiation to Production, meeting all internal and customer milestones in between
Lead team to meet technical, quality and project budget targets
Support development of the software architecture, software requirements, software development plans, and software test plans
Create Feature Roll out maps to determine the feature content for each software release
Negotiate software delivery content with the customer, set implementation and defect resolution priorities, manage release activities, incorporate ASPICE activities into software project plans
Identify risks, define mitigation strategies and execute them when needed
Define acceptance criteria for deliverables from remote development teams (including cross-divisional teams) and third-party suppliers
Plan and conduct software quality gate reviews
Ensure software development, validation, and delivery are according to ISO26262 and ASPICE process guidelines
Manage, track, and drive to resolution project software issues

Required

Bachelors Degree in Engineering – Technical disciplines: Electrical & Electronics, Automotive, Systems, Mechatronics, Computer science, Software or similar
7+ years of experience developing and/or managing programs for high volume mass production projects
Demonstrated understanding of new product development cycles and criticality of time to develop and launch
Experienced in project management, risk management, supplier management
Technical knowledge of driveline systems
Hold a PMP certification or Scrum certification
Knowledge/usage of IBM RTC, DOORS, PLM Team center
