Global Research - Energy Commodities Research - Analyst

Responsibilities

Support senior analysts in researching and analyzing trends in global energy markets, including oil, natural gas, renewables, and related commodities
Collect, organize, and interpret market data from various sources to identify key developments and opportunities
Prepare regular reports, presentations, and market summaries for internal and client use
Monitor news, policy changes, and industry events that impact energy markets
Assist in building and maintaining analytical models and databases
Collaborate with team members across research, sales, and trading to deliver timely insights

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one programming language (such as Python, R, or SQL); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, in-office environment, often under tight deadlines
Comfortable working in dynamic settings and navigating ambiguity, with flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and schedules
Genuine interest in global energy markets and commodities

Preferred

Experience with advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Prior internship or project experience in energy, commodities, or financial markets
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
Initiative to identify process improvements and contribute to team innovation
