Responsibilities
Lead functional workshops covering Freight Unit (FU), Freight Order (FO), Planning, Transportation Resource Management, Carrier Selection, Charge Management, and Freight Settlement
Translate business requirements into TM process models, configuration settings, and functional specifications
Design TM scenarios such as delivery-based and order-based planning, multi-modal transportation, and cost distribution
Lead configuration and customization of: FU/FO Types, Planning Profiles, Strategies, and Optimizer Settings, Charge Types, Calculation Sheets, Rate Tables, Tendering & Carrier Collaboration, Tracking & Event Management
Align TM processes with EWM/WM, SD, MM, FI/CO, GTS, and external logistics systems
Support interface design using CPI, PI/PO, IDocs, APIs, and external carrier networks
Validate end-to-end transportation lifecycle: order creation → FU → FO → execution → settlement
Support master data readiness (locations, resources, business partners, transportation zones)
Drive cutover tasks, mock runs, test scripts, readiness assessments, and deployment validation
Provide post-go-live stabilization, defect triage, and transition to support
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP TM configuration (9.6 or Embedded TM)
Strong understanding of transportation business processes, logistics execution, and freight cost management
Experience in TM-EWM/SD/MM integration desired
Capability to lead teams, run workshops, and manage stakeholders independently
Working knowledge of RISE with SAP, Cloud ALM, and SAP Solution Manager
Excellent communication, documentation skills especially on Google Docs, and analytical skills
Preferred
SAP TM certification
Experience with TM Optimizer, collaboration portals, or BTP extensions
Experience in logistics, 3PLs, or transportation industry domains
