Climate, Health and Equity Internship: 2026 summer term (June 1 - Aug. 15)
American Public Health Association is seeking highly motivated interns for their Center for Climate, Health and Equity. The internship focuses on advancing the conversation of climate change in relation to health equity and justice, involving research, outreach, and content development.

Responsibilities
Complete research on issues
Develop fact sheets, blog posts and background reports
Support outreach and communication to members and partners
Contribute content to climate webpages
Participate in relevant hearings, briefings, meetings, and webinars
Interact with APHA leadership and members
Participate in Speak for Health and other association-wide events
Work on the Association’s Get Ready campaign, writing blog posts and working on group projects each semester
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be able to work in the US during the internship
Candidates should be working toward a bachelors, graduate, or postgraduate degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Research and analysis experience
Strong interest in climate change, health equity or environmental justice issues
Interns must adhere to APHA COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Policy
