Responsibilities
Write, revise, and standardize policies, procedures, SOPs, and manuals; partner with subject matter experts and leadership to document current and future-state processes; translate complex operational, technical, or regulatory information into clear, user-friendly documentation; research federal and industry compliance and documentation requirements; ensure documentation supports consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency; support organizational change and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
5+ years (mid-level) or 8+ years (senior-level) of technical writing experience
Proven experience in writing and maintaining policies, procedures, and process documentation, particularly in regulated or structured environments
Demonstrated experience developing and documenting policies and procedures
Excellent written communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Expert-level experience using MS-Office Suite to create templates, styles, etc
Ability to work onsite or hybrid in the Washington, DC metro area
Experience documenting policies, procedures, and SOPs that align with federal, state, local, and industry regulations
Familiarity working in compliance-driven environments
Ability to translate regulatory or compliance requirements into practical, usable documentation
Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the U.S. for any employer
Successful completion of a background check will be required
Preferred
Government experience and security clearances are a plus but not required
