Responsibilities

Manages staff, which may include interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations
Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations
Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime
Manages the appropriate staffing levels to meet business and client needs
Manages the day-to-day activities of the department to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner
Serves as subject matter expert for the software used within the department
Ensures all aspects of site deliverables meet client needs (kits, manuals, instruction sheets, etc.)
Manages department processes, training and SOPs to improve service and efficiency within the department
Assesses and implements new training for new hires and/or process changes
Contributes to the development of user requirements for improving and enhancing services
Actively assists during sponsor audits and supports audit readiness
Supports the team leads and acts as a backup to for the management team

Required

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years)
1+ year of leadership responsibility
Firm management skills and business acumen
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational, judgment, analytical, decision-making and interpersonal skills to manage complex projects in parallel and manage rapidly changing priorities
Effective at influencing, negotiation and problem resolution
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to be professional, including communicating with and consulting external clients
Ability to utilize proper channels of communications to voice concerns and suggestions
Ability to maintain confidentiality of client protocols and study data
Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner
Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours
Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
