Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and cultivate a group of engineers and technicians, guaranteeing alignment with site objectives and performance measures
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement consistent with Thermo Fisher’s 4-I values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment to optimize production performance
Oversee troubleshooting and technical support on the shop floor to resolve issues impacting throughput, yield, or quality
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and validation records
Manage and approve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production readiness
Drive lean manufacturing and PPI (Practical Process Improvement) initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve quality, and eliminate waste
Identify and justify capital investments that improve efficiency or product quality

Required

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field
5+ years of progressive engineering experience in a production setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Demonstrated experience in process improvement, equipment qualification, and production support
Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing different projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Candidates must work in a manufacturing setting, stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and follow safety rules
