As Assistant Pool Manager, you will assist the Pool Manager in the operation of a municipal swimming pool and associated aquatics programs, ensuring proper staffing and coverage while also handling training and maintenance duties.

Responsibilities
Assist the Pool Manager in the operation of a municipal swimming pool and associated aquatics programs
Determine staffing levels
Prepare schedules
Assign personnel to duty stations
Observe pool attendance
Add or shift Lifeguards to ensure proper coverage
Replenishing supplies
Directing training activities
Checking pool chemicals
Monitoring staff performance
Taking corrective action as needed
Teaching courses in Lifeguard training and water safety
Training volunteers
Maintaining records
Preparing reports
Directing the cleaning and maintenance of pool facilities
Implementing special events
Ensuring proper customer service
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or GED
Good (3 - 9 months) experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor
Some (3 - 6 months) experience in directing activities at swimming pools (municipal or non-municipal)
Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date
Must possess a valid Lifeguard Certification, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer Certification, and a Swim Lesson Instructor (SLI) Certification, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), or equivalent certification by hire date
Preferred
Lifeguard Training Instructor Certification or equivalent is preferred
