This role will serve as the lead technical design authority for their case management product, translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while also evolving into a leadership position.

Responsibilities
Enterprise Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive solutions for new and existing customers, ensuring alignment with our product’s core capabilities and strategic goals
Technical Discovery: Collaborate closely with clients, product managers, and implementation teams to analyze and understand complex business requirements, particularly those unique to the workforce development sector
Integration Strategy: Define and design robust API-based integrations with third-party systems, state-level databases, and other enterprise software
Data Migration: Architect and oversee the strategy for complex data migrations during implementation, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality documentation, typically as contractual obligations, including solution designs, data flow diagrams, integration specifications, etc
Pre-Sales Support: Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) during the sales cycle, assisting with discovery calls, solution validation, and technical aspects of proposals
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and implementation teams to ensure the successful delivery of architected solutions
Future Leadership: Develop the framework and vision for a future Solution Engineering team, with the potential to hire, train, and lead this team as the company grows
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role for a web-based, enterprise-level SaaS product
Proven expertise in designing complex, multi-tenant web applications, defining RESTful APIs, and architecting microservices-based solutions
Demonstrable experience designing and implementing complex system integrations (e.g., SSO, file-based, real-time API)
Deep understanding of data modeling, database design (SQL and/or NoSQL), and a proven track record of designing and executing large-scale data migration projects
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges
Preferred
Direct experience in the workforce development, social services, or public sector domains
Familiarity with workforce legislation, such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and its associated programs
Understanding of the intricacies of federal reporting requirements, particularly the Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL)
Experience with custom enterprise software implementations, case management systems, or government technology (GovTech)
Prior experience in a technical leadership or management role, or a willingness to move into such a position in the future
