This role involves overseeing global logistics strategy, ensuring adherence to trade regulations, and managing compliance frameworks to mitigate risks associated with international trade.

Responsibilities

Overall functional responsibility over the Trade Compliance and Logistics organization

Develop and execute the global logistics and trade compliance strategy and policies, aligning with the business and supply chain objectives

Oversee the Global Trade Compliance team, fostering a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and accountability within the organization

Create and implement trade compliance policies, framework for import/export activities and procedures, enhancing internal controls and managing trade compliance matters

Proactively assess compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that the organization operates within legal boundaries

Implement training programs for employees on trade compliance, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities

Lead optimization of inbound and outbound freight activity, including shipment consolidation, mode selection, and cost efficiency/negotiations

Manage global budgets for freight, duties, and packaging costs

Other duties as assigned
