MissionXI is a leading general contractor and design/build firm specializing in data center construction. They are seeking an MEP Superintendent to lead and coordinate MEP scopes on various projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all MEP scopes on assigned projects, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems

Plan, organize, and execute project activities to ensure labor, materials, tools, and equipment are available and aligned with scope, budget, and schedule

Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety, actively enforcing safety standards and driving incident-free operations across all MEP trades

Work closely with client representatives, inspectors, commissioning agents, and internal teams to meet site-specific access, security, and safety requirements

Coordinate and sequence MEP installations with other trades to ensure constructability, efficiency, and schedule adherence

Ensure field teams are informed of design updates, RFIs, submittals, and documentation changes, maintaining clear and consistent communication

Schedule and manage required inspections in accordance with applicable codes and regulations, supporting testing, commissioning, and final approvals

Maintain accurate daily reporting of site progress, conditions, manpower levels, and work activities

Partner with project management and field leadership to proactively identify risks and keep projects advancing efficiently

Oversee punch list completion and support project closeout activities

Develop look-ahead schedules and prepare material, equipment, and manpower plans to support upcoming MEP work

Provide direct oversight of field staff and subcontracted MEP trades, ensuring quality, cost control, and schedule expectations are met

Support workforce development by assisting with hiring, onboarding, training, and fostering a collaborative, safety-first culture

Monitor performance, provide coaching, and contribute to the professional growth of field personnel

Required

3+ years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing MEP scopes on highly complex data center or mission-critical construction projects

Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with hands-on experience in ground-up data center construction and/or fit-outs

Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades in fast-paced, high-reliability environments
