The role involves reviewing substation drawings, developing testing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities
Review substation drawings and conduct point-to-point checks
Develop substation equipment and protective relay commissioning and testing procedures
Modify, test, and commission substation Data Concentrator Units (DCU) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
Prepare and deliver technical reports and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project success
Perform data analysis and troubleshoot electrical issues, following all applicable safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Education or 1-5 years of experience in the power industry, or similar
Strong understanding of power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution
Protection relay and automation device configuration and testing knowledge
Troubleshooting skills in protection and control, automation, HMI, or relay networks
Passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions
Excellent listening, reading, communication (technical, written, & verbal), attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
NETA training or certification, preferred
Willingness to travel to different job sites for extended periods, preferred
