Value Analysis Facilitator ll

The Value Analysis Facilitator II is responsible for leading and managing Value Analysis projects to reduce supply costs while ensuring quality patient care, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve effective project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Leads Value Analysis projects (supply cost reduction, supply utilization, and supply standardization projects) for WellStar Health System with appropriate project stakeholders including but not limited to: Service Line Chiefs, CMO, CSO, CNO, CQO, Physicians, Nurses, Departmental Directors, and Managers
Persuasively sells ideas to gain support and buy-in from key internal and external stakeholders
Leads Value Analysis monthly/bi-monthly team meetings
Creates and executes project-specific work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing business needs and requirements
Identifies resources (internal and external) needed and assigns individual responsibilities
Effectively applies Value Analysis methodology and enforces project management standards
Ensures project related documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Monitors and reports value analysis projects to administration and department managers at individual hospitals and at the system level
Achieves certification as a Value Analysis Healthcare Provider (CVAHP)
Masters collaboration with 3 or more service lines
Initiates and completes project outside of CQVA within Supply Chain
Rotation and cross train through other departments within Supply Chain to build competencies
Teaches 1 in-service per year
Recommends improvements for change to CQVA processes
Conducts clinical research on supplies and distributes to clinicians to determine safety and efficacy of clinical products
Conducts various analyses including but not limited to cost-benefit, SBAR, ROI, NPV, procedural direct/indirect margin analysis, and proformas; verifying accuracy and completeness of all data which may come from several independent systems
Identifies opportunities for cost reduction via review of spend analysis databases, purchase history, industry benchmarks, contract compliance data and utilization information
Gathers, researches, analyzes, and evaluates data from a variety of sources to produce strategic and actionable short and long-term recommendations
Summarizes key findings and conclusions; presents recommendations to key stakeholders including senior executives
Maintains record of implemented projects and documented cost savings achieved
Prepares and distributes team meeting agendas and minutes
Writes project summary articles for supply chain newsletters
Leads vendor negotiations and/or contract negotiations
Ensures vendor compliance with all applicable Value Analysis policies and procedures
Responsible for building strategic alliances with Physicians, Senior Leadership, Directors, Managers, Clinicians
Serves as a liaison between hospital/system administration, departments, clinical staff, vendors and Supply Chain staff to ensure cost-effective utilization of supplies, including but not limited to the following as appropriate: medical/surgical supplies, physician preference items, pharmaceutical supplies, capital equipment, technology and process-related activities
Interacts with all appropriate departmental directors and managers in individual hospitals and at the system level communicating project statuses and soliciting necessary follow-up
Maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers
Responds to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Business Science or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated
Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare, supply chain, or clinical setting
Minimum 3 years or more years consulting or project management experience
Minimum 3 years or more experience developing financial analyses such as cost-benefit, pro-forma/NPV, ROI, or cost/case analysis
Proven ability to interact with Senior executives, physician leaders, and clinicians to drive key business decisions
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects in a timely manner and support multiple projects concurrently
Ability to lead teams and influence others
Strong negotiation, change management, communication, and conflict management skills
Independent and self-motivated
Computer skills include knowledge and use of spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, and the World Wide Web/Internet
Ability to learn new software programs

Preferred RN - Multi-state Compact - if applicable Upon Hire
Preferred Lean/Project Management Professional (PMP)/Sig Sigma Certification
Preferred Supply Chain Professional ACSM-CSCP
Preferred Material Resource Professional AHRMM-CRMP
Experience analyzing and comparing RFP responses from vendors
Previous experience using healthcare data for analysis
Previous experience leading supply cost reduction, standardization or utilization projects
Basic knowledge of medical-surgical supplies, diagnostic testing, etc
Knowledge of clinical and operational improvement processes
