The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overhead distribution or joint use design and will be responsible for performing make ready engineering and design for overhead distribution systems and joint use projects.

Responsibilities

Perform make ready engineering and design for overhead distribution systems and joint use projects
Utilize DDS to create accurate and compliant designs
Review utility standards and ensure all designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all design activities

Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in overhead distribution or joint use design
Proficiency in Distribution Design Studio (DDS)
Experience working with FirstEnergy or American Electric Power (AEP) as a client
Strong understanding of utility standards and NESC compliance
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

Familiarity with permitting processes and pole loading analysis
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
