Nationwide Field Services Technician (Independent Contractor)

Mid LevelSolar Start specializes in the sale, installation, and repair of solar energy systems, and they are seeking experienced, independent Field Services Technicians to perform on-site technical work across the United States on a contract basis. Technicians will execute approved work orders at customer locations, performing various technical installation tasks and ensuring compliance with safety and professionalism standards.

Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites to execute approved work orders
Perform tasks according to provided scope of work
Use own tools and equipment unless otherwise specified
Communicate job status and updates during service
Upload required photos, documentation, and close-out reports
Comply with site safety, security, and professionalism standards
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role
Hands-on experience with IT hardware, AV, or low-voltage systems
Ability to work independently on-site
Own tools, transportation, and smartphone
Strong communication and reliability
Ability to accept work on a per-project basis
Comfortable working under defined scopes and deadlines
CCTV, AV, low-voltage, or IT certifications
Enterprise field service experience
Preferred
OSHA or safety training (a plus)
OSHA 10/30 or other safety training (optional but preferred)
