Chief Financial Officer
East 57th Street Partners is a private equity-backed platform company entering an aggressive growth phase. They are seeking a proven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to build and scale the finance function, lead acquisition diligence, and establish a robust financial infrastructure to prepare the business for a successful liquidity event.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and PE sponsor, contributing to enterprise strategy, capital allocation, and long-term value creation
Translate the PE investment thesis into actionable financial and operational initiatives
Lead board-level reporting, investor materials, and financial storytelling
Lead financial diligence for platform and add-on acquisitions (QoE, valuation support, working capital, deal structuring)
Own post-close integration planning and execution, including systems, controls, reporting, and KPI alignment
Drive synergy realization, cost optimization, and margin expansion initiatives
Build a repeatable acquisition and integration playbook to support continued M&A velocity
Design and scale all core finance functions, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and internal controls
Implement scalable systems and processes (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards)
Establish disciplined monthly close, forecasting, and budgeting processes
Ensure GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and lender/investor reporting standards
Develop robust KPI frameworks and dashboards to track performance across the platform
Lead cash flow management, liquidity planning, and debt covenant compliance
Partner with operations to improve unit economics, pricing, and cost structure
Support operational leaders with data-driven insights and financial rigor
Prepare the business for a future exit through data quality, reporting maturity, and operational transparency
Lead sell-side readiness, including financial normalization, data room preparation, and advisor coordination
Act as a key leader through the transaction process and exit execution
Qualification
Required
Proven CFO experience in private equity–backed platform companies
Direct leadership of multiple M&A add-on acquisitions, including diligence and post-close integration
At least one successful exit as CFO (sale to PE, strategic buyer, or recapitalization)
Experience building and scaling finance functions in high-growth environments
Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting, FP&A, cash management, and deal finance
Confident partner to CEOs, boards, and PE investment teams
Hands-on, execution-first leader who can operate both strategically and tactically
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
Preferred
