As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulations, and implement internal controls, while overseeing the accounting department and mentoring a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring adherence to accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls with a focus on leases, capital labor, prepaids, and fixed assets

Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching and direction to achieve departmental goals

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Review general ledger account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely completion of month-end closing procedures

Work closely with other departments to provide accurate and timely financial information for leadership insights and decision-making

Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports to support informed business decisions

Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting processes

Prepare close calendar and assist in managing completion of the monthly and quarterly close process and financial reporting controls

Maintain accounting policies and process documentation for shared service functions and the close process

Stay current on relevant accounting standards, insurance regulations, and best practices

Prepare and review materials for annual audits and quarterly reviews, including working directly with internal and external audit on walkthroughs and testing requests

Lead department level projects and support enterprise projects

Assist in managing enterprise risk on enterprise projects while supporting and ensuring accounting requirements are met
