Responsibilities

Lead artificial intelligence and data science initiatives
Partner with leaders across ITS and campus to bring high-impact projects to life
Build and mentor a team of AI professionals
Serve as a technical enabler for development teams
Drive the adoption of AI across the campus
Empower teams to integrate AI capabilities into their work
Embed AI within existing products, processes, and initiatives

Required

Proactive leader who can act as a technical strategist and a hands-on expert
Experience in leading artificial intelligence and data science initiatives
Ability to partner with leaders across ITS and campus to bring high-impact projects to life
Experience in building and mentoring a team of AI professionals
Ability to serve as a technical enabler for development teams
Experience in driving the adoption of AI across campus
Ability to empower teams to integrate AI capabilities into their work
Experience in embedding AI within custom applications, reporting, or intelligent agents
Ability to have a constant pulse on solutioning to embed AI within existing products, processes, and initiatives
Current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position
Compliance with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements
