The role involves delivering hands-on training and preparing students for immediate employment in legal environments through practical training and a relevant curriculum.

Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in Paralegal Studies courses
Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments aligned with program objectives
Provide constructive feedback and support to students
Stay current with legal trends, technology, and industry standards
Collaborate with other faculty to enhance curriculum and student outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field
Experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, college instructor or attorney
Strong commitment to the mission of SamPoly
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, research, and documentation
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with online/hybrid teaching platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to effectively present information
Strong detail orientation and ability to multi-task with little direct supervision
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees and the public
Ability to thrive in a customer-service oriented collaborative team environment
Applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency in writing and speaking English
Preferred
Master's or Juris Doctorate strongly preferred
Familiarity with – or willingness to adopt – best practices for online learning, including the use of Blackboard
Strong, demonstrated commitment to quality teaching, student success and student completion
Ability to use technology in the teaching and learning process
Cooperating as a team player in various working environments
