Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Application and Classroom Support Technician to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring classrooms are equipped with technology and providing support to faculty, staff, and students to enhance their teaching and learning experience.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced support for classroom technology, including computer labs, instructor workstations, audio/visual systems, and conferencing tools

Consult with users, develop training programs, and teach classes on hardware and software operation

Research, test, and recommend hardware/software solutions to keep us ahead of the curve

Troubleshoot issues with Canvas, Turnitin, Respondus, and other essential tools

Perform preventative maintenance, coordinate repairs, and maintain technical documentation

Work closely with IT colleagues and vendors to deliver exceptional service to our campus community

Required

A Bachelor's degree in computer technology, information technology, business or related field is required

An Associate's degree, supplemented by one to two years of experience in computer technology/ technology education or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Related work as IT support technician may be considered in lieu of degree

Must demonstrate good written and spoken communication skills

Must be able to troubleshoot multifaceted problems in a systematic manner

Must be able to work as a member of a collaborative team

Must provide excellent customer service to a diverse community of faculty, staff and students
