The role of the Student Assistant - Front Desk Assistant involves being the first point of contact for the Center for Academic Success, responsible for greeting guests, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Greeting guests
Answering phones
Scheduling and checking in students for appointments
Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, faculty, and community members
Maintaining a clean and organized front desk and center
Assisting Center for Academic Success staff as needed
Supporting other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in 6 credit hours or more
Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA
High levels of professionalism and excellent customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, proper phone etiquette, and dependability
Excellent at multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills; written and verbal
Proficient with general computer operations, including Microsoft Office
Must be able to work 15-20 hours a week
This position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a computer and front desk
Additional physical requirements may include occasional walking, standing, bending, and the ability to lift or carry up to 10 pounds
