Responsibilities
Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with consolidated financial statements and internal management reporting
Work with the leadership team with the development of the budget & quarterly forecast
Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for financial fluctuations
Maintain and strengthen internal controls across accounting processes
Serve as a resource for technical accounting questions and problem-solving
Help build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy
Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and documentation of procedures
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Coordinate with external CPA firm
Assist with tax-related schedules and compliance requirements as needed
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally working for a private company
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Advanced Excel and Systems skills
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organizational abilities
Preferred
Confident yet collaborative — someone who can lead without ego
Comfortable balancing detailed accounting work with higher-level review and oversight
Process-minded, proactive, and eager to improve systems and workflows
