Document Control Specialist

Responsibilities

Review document change requests and route them for creation, maintenance, and implementation within the electronic document management system
Implement, control, and coordinate changes to controlled documentation in accordance with established procedures
Manage change processes for manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures, policies, specifications, and manufacturing records
Review, edit, and process updates to procedures, forms, and batch records within the electronic document management system
Ensure all required approvals are obtained prior to final document release and coordinate effective dates with impacted departments
Prepare and issue controlled records for production use
Coordinate and maintain the periodic document review system to ensure ongoing compliance
Complete routine work and special projects on schedule with minimal supervision

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
Experience in quality assurance, quality oversight, or a related function within a regulated environment
Experience supporting document control activities in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Experience working with an electronic document management system
Strong proofreading, verbal communication, and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective time management and ability to follow tasks through to completion
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Experience working with Veeva Vault or a similar electronic document management system
Experience supporting manufacturing documentation and batch record management
